The inaugural North Hollywood International Film Festival (NHIFF) is now accepting submissions. The Festival will take place April 28 – May 1, 2016 in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California. The earlybird deadline for submissions is September 1, 2015, the regular deadline is January 1, 2016, the late deadline is February 1, 2016 and the extended deadline is March 1, 2016. Also announced, the festival will host a series of free outdoor movies this summer in public spaces in and around North Hollywood. Kicking off with A Hard Day’s Night on May 16 in NoHo Plaza located at 5225 Lankershim Blvd. The movie series is presented in association with City Councilman Paul Krekorian, the Midtown NoHo, NoHo NorthEast & NoHo West Neighborhood Councils. Get food specials by nearby restaurants Pitfire Pizza NoHo and Vicious Dogs. Free popcorn provided by FilmLA.
Join us for a full summer of free outdoor movie screenings in public spaces throughout North Hollywood. A Hard Day’s Night on May 16th in NoHo Plaza, The Princess Bride on June 13th in North Hollywood Park, Rocky on July 3rd in North Hollywood Park, Babe on July 25th in Jamie Beth Slavin Park, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 22nd in North Hollywood Park and Spy Kids on September 19th at Victory/Vineland Recreation Center.
NHIFF is designed to be a launch platform for International and North American premieres of important new films, as well as an expertly programmed showcase in all genres with a focus on music, food, and dance, reflecting the diversity of the people of North Hollywood.
