Filmmakers, it’s time to “Hit It!”
Macon Film Festival is now taking submissions for the 2015 festival. The festival, which will celebrate it’s 10th anniversary in July, will be awarding $13,000 in prize money.
Film categories include: Animation, Music Video, Music Documentary, Documentary Shorts, Documentary Feature, Southern Documentary, Student Shorts, Narrative Feature, Narrative Shorts, and LGBT Shorts.
New this year: the addition of the LGBT Shorts category and in addition to Withoutabox, filmmakers can also submit through FilmFreeway.
Submission dates:
– November 17th: Early Bird Deadline
– January 12th: Regular Deadline
– February 9th: Late Deadline
– March 9th: Extended Deadline

Macon Film Festival, named one of the “Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker Magazine, is a walkable festival screening independent films from around the world in multiple historic theaters in the city’s downtown district.
